Womanly Virtue Fail

I have several very good friends who where born into this world as housewives. I like to cook and knit and stuff, but I'm not exactly Miss Domestic. I like cooking, but I really hate following recipes. Obviously, this might have lead to a couple major cookie disasters in the past. Recently I've been trying to improve my cooking and just generally get better at stuff, so yesterday I decided I would make my great-grandma's yummy jam tea dainties. Let's just say that the recipe called for two teaspoons of sugar, not two cups. Yeah. The cookies are now a gooey, over-sweet mess hidden in the back of the fridge.
