Big Ole' Prayer Requests

First of all I have to ask you to prayer for a friend of mine who is going through a really tough time right now. His problem is not easy to resolve and might end with a separation from his family. He is an amazing guy and could really use your prayers right now.

Secondly, I have to thank you for praying for my friend's baby. The cist that was on the baby's brain appears to be causing no more trouble, and now all we need is a safe delivery. (I want a boy, just saying)

I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but during my time in Dallas, my roommate's best friend was injured in a car accident. The wreck claimed her father's life and later hers. Please pray for the repose of these souls and for healing for their family and friends, especially my roommate.

Please pray for Gemma as she heads off to college this week! I will miss her so much.

And finally please pray for my family and me as we begin our school year tomorrow.



Desperate times call for desperate measures: pray to St. Rita!

O Holy Patroness of those in need, St. Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for thy lavishness in granting favors hast been called the Advocate of the Hopeless and even of the Impossible; St. Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of such compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus that thou couldst obtain from Him whatsoever thou askest, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee, expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant; be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee. We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify, thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever. 

Relying then upon thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pray: (mention your request). Obtain for us our request.
